"Man's capacity for justice makes Democracy possible. His inclination to injustice makes Democracy necessary."

Retake the House. Reclaim the Rule of Law. Rebuild Our Government

We will soon enter a Post-Trump world in which we regain our national pride and our national purpose, while simultaneously rebuilding an economy and national government that is effective and efficient in meeting the needs of all Americans.  We will invest in job-creating infrastructure projects instead of continuing tax cuts for those who do not need them. Please refer to my Issues/Priorities page for specifics about my approach to serving you.

I am proud to be an American, and I am eager to be part of this effort/transformation. I am running to serve as your Congressman in PA-01.  I believe this website conveys the qualifications I have to serve as your congressman, and I welcome the chance to answer your questions in the contact section, or email me at tom@electtomtaft.com. There is positive path forward, but it has to begin with us stopping Trump and his Republican congressional followers cold in their law-breaking, authoritarian tracks in November of 2026.

This administration is committed to lies and injustice.  They work every day to convince us that what is the best financial outcome for them personally is somehow also the best for us.  It is not!

All politics are local, and in 2026, defeating Fitzpatrick and retaking the House is local politics.

A Family Legacy Rooted in Public Service

My family’s 200 year history of dedicated public service includes my great grandfather, President William Howard Taft, and all of the members of my family who have held public office before and after him, have also been deeply committed to upholding our Constitution and Rule of Law.  I am shocked daily by the willingness of Republican leaders (Brian Fitzpatrick included) to be complicit, silent and even fawning in Trump’s attempt to destroy our 250-year experiment in democracy.
