Of the 10 richest people in the world, nine of them are Americans. These nine Americans have accumulated wealth that totals $1,500,000,000,000. There are Republicans who scream and complain that there is too much business regulation. Baloney.
It is obvious that the United States with approximately 4% of the world’s population — 300 million of the world’s 8.2 billion people — is a country that is incredibly favorable to entrepreneurs and business people.
The simple fact is that despite all of the Republicans complaining, the only thing that this country suffers from is allowing so much wealth to be accumulated in so few hands. It allows people like Elon Musk to have too much of an impact on our politics and our system of governing. Either take the money out of politics or tax these people so they pay their fair share.
